This year’s 30th annual Space Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC) held at Space Center Houston in Houston, Texas Feb. 8-10, 2024 was a real inspiration for over 500 teachers of all grades who share a passion for using space as a hook to engage students in science. There were tours of Johnson Space Center, talks by astronauts and scientists, and dozens of hands-on sessions including one presented by Orion’s Quest staff members Dan Wray and Dan Loewen. The OQ session featured information and activities from an upcoming mission based on Materials Science. Best of all educators were able to connect with fellow educators teachers from around the world as they shred new ideas and ways to enhance their curriculum using space science.
Teachers, please consider signing up for next years conference and be sure to stop by the ISSNL booth to talk to any of the Space Station Explorer (SSE) presenters about their International Space Station related programs.
